The CMR Counseling Department is dedicated to helping students in their search of scholarships for post-secondary college and training. All scholarship information received by the school is published in a monthly Scholarship Scoop from October through April each school year. It is the student's responsibility to obtain the applications and complete them in a timely manner. Mrs. Lowry is the scholarship coordinator, but all counselors are willing to help guide the students through the process.

Seniors: Be attentive to the scholarship scoops as they arrive monthly. It is impossible to put every scholarship that colleges, universities, and vocational schools offer in the scoops. It is your responsibility to be searching out scholarships that fit your needs. The counseling office will pass along scholarships that arrive periodically.
The first round of Scholarships is now open! Below is a list of scholarships from the Great Falls Public Schools Foundation along with instructions on how to apply for scholarships through their website. *Note, a more printer-friendly version of the scoop is located towards the bottom of this page.

Federal student aid is applied for through a US Department of Education site. The parent/guardian needs to fill out and apply for the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). Their website can be found here. We encourage you to file your FAFSA before December 1 as the priority deadline. There are two steps in filing a FAFSA: 1. Parent AND student files for FAFSA pin/ID. This will be your electronic signature. If the parent already has a pin from their own time in college or from an older sibling, they will use that. fsaid.ed.gov 2. Fill out the FAFSA, which will ask for income from the prior-prior year. (ie, if a student is attending college in Fall 2022, parents will enter information from 2020 tax year). fafsa.ed.gov
