CMR’s food pantry was started in 2009 by our Key Club when they realized there was a need to help their fellow classmates who were in need of food and personal hygiene products. The food pantry grew each year and is now run by a group of parent volunteers who coordinate donations and disbursement of food to students/families in need.
Students are able to get breakfast items in the morning or snacks after school by contacting their counselor or administrator who will take them to the pantry. In addition, there are boxes of food given once a week to families who need the extra help.
We are aware that hunger is a deterrent to the learning process and have made a commitment to helping our CMR family. If you are interested in donating to our food pantry or your family could use some support from the food pantry, please contact your child’s counselor or the CMR Counseling Office at 268-6159. This is a confidential program.
